Wooden Tool Boxes

Post by Paul W »

Hi Guys
Has anybody got some advice and/or pic`s of a wooden tool box for bonsai equipment, I want to make one and incorporate a series of spools on the handle to dispense the different sizes of wire,I am good at making things but need some ideas and tips of what and what not to do,something like an old fashioned carpenters tool box made out of ply and stained. :worship: :worship: Thanks
Paul

One of our club members makes bonsai boxes just like you have described from plywood and sells a few at various bonsai events but I don't have one to be able to supply a photo.

Google is your friend.....I just found this in literally 30 secs....... http://www.popularmechanics.com/home/ho ... ng/2417126 not sure if that is what your meaning, but it has a drawer, and a handle.

Here is one that is a bit more advanced.... http://www.shopnotes.com/issues/070/ext ... -gear-box/

And one similar to the first one....http://extremehowto.com/build-a-carpenters-box/

http://www.bonsaitoolchest.com/index.ph ... cts_id=243

Personally I would love to make one of these......http://www.shopnotes.com/issues/098/ext ... ool-chest/ But I cant make sense of the cutting diagrams :palm:

Hope these give you some ideas, good luck :fc:

Thanks Luke
Was thinking a more specialized Bonsai Box with inbuilt spools for the various gauges of wire but I can modify some of the designs to suit , :hooray: :hooray:
