Dear All,
I have a mature Bonsai Fig given to me as a birthday present back in 2006. I don't have any idea about the value of the Bonsai (it may be worth next to nothing given its shape) but I understand it is a mature plant. Offers please? I am based on the Gold Coast. My e-mail is craigos79@yahoo.com.au.
If any experienced Bonsai owners could provide their thoughts about value so I don't get ripped off I would be most obliged.

I,ve seen this sitting here for a little while, and like me some may not have known how to answer it. So don't think bad of me, or the person who gave you the gift.
Coolio, you have a very attractive pot plant, and with a bit of pruning it could be the start of a nice bonsai in the future.
but sorry at the moment its only value is what you think it is worth. After all, it was a b'day gift and its the sentiment that counts, isn't it?

It has a nice base and lower trunk but not much else to go by, I assume the lower trunk is about 2 inches across
If purchase by a Bonsai person, they would chop it back hard to only a few inches and regrow anyway from Scratch.
Is the pot special or a cheap Chinese pot? If Chinese then the pot on worth a few dollars
Maybe $20 - $30
