defoliation time

Post by Matthew »

got some time of so in this HEAT we are having atm i got out and did some work on some of the figs, about half down the other half will be repotted this weekend and defoliated as well. some are coming along well, the one in the plastic training pot will get a nice pot soon. The large clump style got hammered in winter by frost even in the hothouse but has come back well, i really like this tree a one off which i think another 3-4 seasons will be nice.

I also defoliated today. I will have to go over mums place sometime this week to knock off her's as well, but my Ficus look no where near as good as that.

Love the large clump, quite unconventional but carries the image of a huge tree. :tu:

Nice Figs Matthew - top tree is nice and robust (not 100% convinced by its placement in the pot (but it may look different in leaf). How is your big Melonseed looking? Looks like it has a thick head of leaves in the background there.
cheers

They're coming along nicely Matt, nice to see you've still got a nice collection of figs.
