Little Green Monster

Post by steve_84 »

Hi All

I have little green catipliiers eating my corky bark elm. I am pulling 3 to 4 off it everyday and it is really starting to hurt the tree. Is there anything I can buy to get rid of them?

Sorry no photos as they end up under the thong pretty quickly.

Cheers
Steve

Pictures of stomped on grubs always welcome here.

I had green grubs on my Elm -- cut in the middle and they oozed the most iridescent blue/green better than cracker night.

Anyway I am with Tenka on confidor seems to work. OR .. you could defoliate the tree .. many benefits :shifty:

Best treatment for caterpillars is BT sold by Yates as 'Dipel'. Its a fungus that only affects caterpillars so won't hurt the good insects like ladybirds and praying mantis.
