GEELONG BONSAI CLUB APRIL 9 2012
Once again im humbled and honoured to be asked to Demonstrate and talk on bonsai. This time at the "Geelong Bonsai Club" 7:30 pm, Ex-servicemans Hall, Reserve rd, Grovedale. I will be pitching my demo to all experience levels and believe there will be something for everyone in it. Design criteria is something i am very passionate about and want to share my thought process with you all. We will discuss,
#Choosing material for "bonsai" The attributes that contribute to interesting design.
# Analysing the attributes and exploring the design possibilities.
Nebari,Basal flair, tachiagari, line character and continuity, trunk ratio's and taper...Will all be up for the chew and man have i got alot of chewn to do !!!
During all this just for kicks we are going to take this beautiful little shimpaku, discuss all these points and then compress it down and make it even more compact and interesting. I am extremely excited to put on a couple of action packed bonsai hours for you all. I also look forward to catching up with some familiar faces as well as some new ones ! "GEELONG", thanks for the oppertunity, cant wait for April 9 !!!

Very enjoyable evening. Informative, entertaining and inclusive of all members and skill levels. Well done Tony, thank you. From the talk around the club, we will probably see you next year. And thank you Mary and Tony for helping me to see my radiata through fresh eyes(minus all the baggage that came with the tree.)
