Trunk bending by tilting the pot .

Post by Paulneill »

I recently started putting a few trees on my sloped garage roof. I just noticed my tiger bark fig has now got a full on 30 deg bend half way up the trunk and it's only been there for 2 months. I have seen this technique in books but didn't realise it's effectiveness . I will be trying this out in future. the tree in questions trunk is only half an inch thick and a out a foot tall. but I can see this working well on larger trees

.does any one use this to put bends in there trees ? If so what trees work Well

I think this only works for young sappy plants before the trunk hardens, you will need to keep it there for a while
