Newbie looking for local clubs, and individuals
Hi I have only just really started doing bonsai, an interest that has fascinated me since a very young age. I have moved recently to the Batehaven/Batemans bay area and am looking for as many locals who are also 'in the trade' and also local clubs. From the amount of bonsai being sold in the three local nurseries I have visited, I know there must be interest in the region, and I know of one or two people who are known by the local horticulturists to do Bonsai, but am yet to contact them and sit down with a yummy coffee, or tea and discuss futures with them. If you are interested in meeting with me and trying my home-made, raw-milk cheeses and beer, and assisting me, and allowing me to assist you, then please post here!

Re: Newbie looking for local clubs, and individuals
Thanks kcpoole for your help, have already seen the wiki links, unfortunately I do not drive due to my grande mal epilepsy, and this sort of turns a nice short drive up the road into a day trip on the very dodgy local buses. I am more interested in finding locals within my region to actually form a 'group or society' this I feel would make quite an impact on the local community, and make my travel time less of an issue
