Been raining for 6hrs at work so gave up an stopped in at my parents place where ive got a patch of Chinese elms growing for the last 15yrs. These things never get water just when it rains an have developed nice bark ;) so found me one to dig up :shifty: :shifty: :shifty: will leave the second trunk for now but it may go later.

Wish i had the foresight to plant some trees 15 yrs ago. My chinese elm is way off being ready to dig. Good luck with it.

some big roots to deal with there, I'll be interested where you take this. At least you had multiple trunks to choose from :D

Going to be a good tree for her to work on as it needs constant work this time of year i wired the young shoots for now but will let her take over from here But ill do the carving    or wife will shoot me for letting our daughter using a power tool hahahaha.

thanks olive,

threads help me start to put the vague pieces together. If i had looked at the original stump you dug up, I would've had no idea what todo with it. But after seeing where you're taking it, I can envision a great tree in the future.

look forward to updates mate.
