Melaleuca ericifolia I think???
Collected a Melaleuca ericifolia (I think that's what it is). I'm hoping it survives as I like the trunk line on it. It is about 4-5cm at the base. The main trunk is 20cm high. 30cm to the top of the foliage and 30cm across the foliage. There were on 3 big roots and a few small roots but not many. It was in a real swampy/wet area. Does anyone know if these back bud on old wood. Anything you would reccomemd to help it survive. I put some root hormone on the roots before planting.

It's not doing anything yet but it is cooler down here than Newcastle. I broke a small branch the other day and it is still green inside so hope yet. There are still green leaves on it as well. Got a pic of yours Rintar????Rintar wrote:hows your doing mines back budded and is going well

IT'S ALIVE
It took it's time Rintar but it is noe punching out buds all over. I need 1 more branch to bud up and I'll be
I was away for 4 days. It was raining when I left then came out hot for 3 days. I was a bit worried about then but the warm weather his woken it up I think

Re: Melaleuca ericifolia I think???
I agree Jas. I take them at their word. I had the pleasure of meeting Pup a while back and his knowledge was amazing. I just look at their trees and dream.Rintar wrote:Looking good Josh, Craig and Pup both will tell you they are not experts on Mels but compared to the rest of us they are they both have contributed so much to the forum on this group of trees I for one am very appreciative
