The obvious choice is westringia but I am not convinced. The photo is slightly out of focus. Some of the prostanthera look similar.I am sure there are other species with the same leaf.

Not much help sorry.

A closer pic of the folioage would be better for an ID. It could almost be an African olive or as Squizzy said a native mintbush. (Prostanthera).

I do remember this plant joel.

I think thats a pretty good guess actually. I am sure it was a plant we used to sell out of a wholesale nursery I once worked at. You say its a bad weed?

Hi Squizzy,

It was commonly sold years ago for a small flowering shrub and hedge. Nobody had assessed the likelihood of it becoming a weed though and now we are paying. Earlier this year it was added to the "WONS" (Weeds Of National Significance) list. This is a list of the most impacting weeds of Australia. You can find the list here: http://www.weeds.org.au/WoNS/

Here is some info on Cytisus. It includes some CRAZY stats like how many seeds are found in a square meter of soil in heavily infested sites. http://www.weeds.org.au/cgi-bin/weedide ... l&card=E60
