[ID] help

I hope someone can help with identification of this tree
It was collected from a garden but I suspect it is a native

The obvious choice is westringia but I am not convinced. The photo is slightly out of focus. Some of the prostanthera look similar.I am sure there are other species with the same leaf.

A closer pic of the folioage would be better for an ID. It could almost be an African olive or as Squizzy said a native mintbush. (Prostanthera).

I do remember this plant joel.
I think thats a pretty good guess actually. I am sure it was a plant we used to sell out of a wholesale nursery I once worked at. You say its a bad weed?

Hi Squizzy,
It was commonly sold years ago for a small flowering shrub and hedge. Nobody had assessed the likelihood of it becoming a weed though and now we are paying. Earlier this year it was added to the "WONS" (Weeds Of National Significance) list. This is a list of the most impacting weeds of Australia. You can find the list here:

Here is some info on Cytisus. It includes some CRAZY stats like how many seeds are found in a square meter of soil in heavily infested sites.
