Trophy for club competitions

Post by bonsaibruce »

Greetings,
The Bimer Club in Brisbane has decided to present small trophies to the owners of trees that have been awarded prizes at our annual show.
Has anyone an interesting supply of bonsai related trophies? The gift certificate for the trade table will remain, but it would be nice to have something to keep on the mantle for a few days to show the mother-in-law.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce

I know the Sunshine coast people do this. They present trophies with little shields on them and your name gets engraved there. i think you get to keep them from show to show. Maybe someone will chime in from that club.

Hey Bruce I know it's not exactly a trophy but what about comissioning one of our aussie potters to make some specially marked pots ? I know Steven has done that here for prizes.

Hi ya Bruce here's a couple for consideration, in what you are looking for, one is a plaque, the other a cup ( :hooray: ) you get the idea though.

Cheers Pup

I believe if you commissioned the Cups ( :hooray: ) you could get a good price. Just ask the potters around.

Why not engrave a set of scissors or branch cutters?

Cheers

Grretings,
Thanks for the ideas. While I have funds to spend, the prize is going up from a piece of A4 paper to something better!
Pot is a good thought. I could commission a number so they wuold be similar.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce.
