hey el i know this tree and it looks like it has been neglected. paul sweeney always kept this tree pristine while in his care. now if you want to see the mother of all radiata's then check out the one at the entrance to the bonsai section at collectors corner next time you're up that way. BTW was there any good buys there today? :D

I remember this pine from a few years back. It looked better then. I have been back to the nursery a couple of times since Paul left. Back then they had a good selection of chinese elm stock. Is Paul still in the business?

Hey Ant,
The tree looked better in person, but I did notice some neglect on this tree, a bit of a shame....
I have heard the trees at Collectors Corner were very nice, especially their pines, I have only been to their Wholesale area that was pretty awesome :D I will be around that area tomorrow, and after having a look at their website I think I will be spending my lunchtime checking these trees out :D
http://www.collectorscorner.com.au/Bons ... ollect.htm

As far as bargains I think I got a few today :D I had an awesome day, I got some awesome bonsai pots, and some nice material to work and develop, I counted 38 Trees all up, 24 are in 8' pots others are in boxes or bags...Oh yeah and I have a special delivery Thursday can't wait :D :D :D
I will be definitely be posting some of these soon...

G'day Eric,
I don't think Paul is involved in the business in any way...A bit of a shame really from what I've seen, he had some real talent...
