I'm writing this for the information of those many bonsai people who aren't, also, expert with IT.
If you've got a smartphone or and ipad (hasn't everyone?) I can thoroughly recommend the Bonsai Album app by Andrew Nicolle. Now, you can record important information about your tree so when someone asks; "how long have you had that?", "where did you get it from?", or "what did you pay for that?" you'll have the answers instantly available. I'm now in the practice of doing that as soon as I get a new tree which, considering how many I already have, is too often! Of course, you can also show them as many photos as you like of the tree from what it looked like when you got it through to the magnificent specimen you have created.
You can try the Lite version of the app for free but you will be limited to 3 bonsai, 3 pots and 3 log entries with 3 photos each.
I can't believe there is a bonsai person anywhere with only 3 trees so get the full version. It costs less than a bag of potting mix.
Great app for bonsai

Thanks for that, have the iPad and also the kids who can load apps for me.
Will get them to investigate this when they awake.
School holidays, they should be up in time for lunch.

Thanks for this. I have tried to find it on both iTunes and Google play but no luck. Can you please include a link to the webpage or provide the exact name ??

Looked a bit harder. You need to type the exact phrase bonsai album lite in iTunes it seems. No plans for any android market. Shucks...my Samsung galaxy s2 rules but it seems not for this app

Hmmm,
If you can live without the photos, you can use the Calendar or the Reminders. Camera will timestamp and even put a location on your photos too
Sorry creators of $8.49 bonsai apps
