European beech at the collection

Post by NBPCA »

Here is a picture of a lovely European beech now at the collection.

It was purchased by the artist as advanced nursery stock and then cut down to approx 320 mm above the ground and then the apex was regrown and some branches were grafted on along the way as well.

It is a wonderful tree so come and have a look.

Sorry for those of you who can't grow the Beech or Larch because of your climate.

Hi Scott,

We currently have 4 but we have negotiated to have another two trees from the same artist for the opening on 2nd Feb next year of the new NBPCA and Arboretum.

Its going to be a great show; also with some trees to come down from Qld as well.
