[ID] tree collected from a palm tree

hey everyone :wave:
i collected this 4 months ago
and has kicked on really well :tu:
not that it looks like much but the way it's roots have held onto the palm
caught my eye and i think it will look fantastic clinging to a rock ;)
but i have no idea what it is?
an not to sure if its suitable for bonsai but ill try anyway!!!!

Seeing that you are in Sydney I would guess a Racehorse tree, Tipuana tipu. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=tipu ... igeHsYDIBQ as the most likely species. It looks as though the palm is located in a cemetery so have a look around to see if there is a large, stretchy tree in the vicinity which could have seeded there. :reading: I don't think that it would be suitable for Bonsai because of the long compound leaves and the stretchy growth. It could also be a Cassia https://www.google.com.au/search?q=tipu ... 24&bih=636 Which is somewhat suitable because it has more compact growth.

the bark on a race course tree seemed lighter than the one on mine
but the foliage looks spot on

i think even if it wont make the best bonsai lets hope i can make an interesting one ;)
