High End japanese/ Chinese Pots.
Hi All,
For those that don't know, I am fairly pot obsessed. I collect Japanese and Old/ Interesting Chinese bonsai containers. Recently i have been toying with the idea of bringing in a hand full of pots each time i buy one myself to help spread the shipping costs.
I guess what i am trying to gauge is what sort for a market there is for high end pots in this country.
I will mainly be buying Shohin pots that will be in the $100-400 ranges. many of these pots can be found on Ebay from japan but i think i can buy and get them hear cheaper than the Ebay prices and much cheaper when you take shipping costs from japan into account.
Are these pots something that people might be interested in or does Australia not really have a market for them?
Joe

Hi Jow
I am interested. Let me know what you have in mind. I was planning on ordering some pots sooner that later.

Hi Jeff, Shohin pots to start. Glazed pots and maybe some non-glazed in a mix of shapes. Think i will first bring 5-6 to see if they sell well enough to make it worth the bother.Jeff wrote:Hi Jow

Well it looks like from the PM's and posts here that there is enough interest to make the test batch worth a go. I will let you all know in the coming months when and what will be arriving.

Hi All,
A big box of pots just arrived at work today. I will get pics of each and work out pricing and be in contact with those that were interested in the next few days.
