This weekend we had the grand opening of "stage 2". Royal Botanic Gardens for Natives in Cranbourne.
A small display of native bonsai was a huge hit with the lovers of native trees.

I'm glad they put some Bonsai in there as examples of native flora for the event
but why the tent?

Several groups were each allocated a tent for their display, the bonsai could easily have been exhibited out in the open but the tent space is what was allocated.
The tree on the left is a leptospermum (coastal tea tree)

They look like very beautiful gardens - especially the arid garden which is quite original. It think this is a good one to put on the visit list. That is a very nice selection of native bonsai on display - well done to the contributors. Did you get photographs of each tree?
