For the last 5yrs I have regularly driven past a local house with a hedge of golden privet right along the front boundary, on approach today I saw not a hedge but a cream powdercoated fence. As I got closer I could see the owner working in the front yard & then all these lovely stumps... my hegde.. I had often wanted to ask if I could have one tree, now I have the whole hedge

All butchered & potted up, 15 in all, mainly big multi trunk messes that will need further reducing, this is the last one & how it ended up, now potted into a 35cm pot (the smallest it would squeeze into).

While they have been out of the gorund a week I am fairly confident they will survive, lots of fun to be had once they are strong enough... cant wait...

More like 20 metres of bench space for a species I don't like... I will keep a couple, friends will get a couple, shall I put your name on something? It's nice, really nice... not too big either
