Japanese Black Pine Semi Cascade

Post by Nathan »

As soon as I saw this tree at the Bonsai Growers while hand selecting our first order I knew it was never going to make it onto the shelves at Brisbane Bonsai

I am developing it into a semi cascade

During my time in Bonsai I have been lucky enough to have Roger from the Defined Garden on the Gold Coast as my Bonsai Teacher and Mentor, it is great to be able to discuss design ideas and directions with someone with so many years experience, at first he was thinking another direction for the tree but after much discussion Semi Cascade it will be

At this early stage of the development it was just a decision of what was going to be used in the design and what was going to be removed, some initial wiring and styling, when it is repotted next there will also be a slight potting angle change

Cheers

I bet they have thumped in your climate, will be good to see where you are taking them.
