John Naka's dictum was:
"Make your bonsai look like a tree, not your tree look like a bonsai."
This one always makes me laugh, every year. It's a plane tree in trendy Manuka.

Well being that they pronounce the name of the suburb incorrectly no wonder they got the philosophy wrong. 

So the Redwood turns to the Bonsai and says "Lend me a Tenner"......
