Royal poicianna as Bonsai ????

Post by KyBonzai »

G'day all
i was given a poinciana seed from a neighbour about 6 years ago when i was like 9 and i didnt even know what bonsai was !!
i planted the seed in a plastic tray type pot and it grew well there for 6 years untill i discovered bonsai
i didnt know if this type of tree could be bonsaied(??) but i was keen to try so i cut the roots back hard and planted it into a bonsai pot

anyway fast foward to know the tree looks nothing like a typical bonsai but i kinda like it so im keeping it aha
ther was an ugly buldge like scar on the trunk so i used my newly acquired concave cutters and hacked that of and i was very happy with how that turned out
then i decided what the hay ill hollow the scar out, i used a dremel tool with a small cutter attachment that came with it im kinda happy with how it looks but it seems a little weird to me maybe wehn im more experienced ill know what to do with it
sorry if i bored you all with a long story
