[ID] A self-sown Elm or weed (Sydney)?

Hi,

Found this today at work. Leaves look like my seiju elm but just a lot larger. Is it possible it's an elm of some variety waiting for me to dig it up and love it, or is it just a weed disguised as an elm?

Love your thoughts,

DustyRusty

Way too big for a seiju elm - I reckon it's a Chinese Elm

Certainly looks like Ulmus Parvifolia to me.

wow thanks. just really didn't expect this tree to self-sow in Sydney. I knew there were Privets, Hawthorns, Wisteria and things around, but never heard of wild Elms here. Lucky me :) Thanks for the thoughts.

Ulmus parvifolia are weeds in Sydney too, don't worry about that!
This whole 'self-sown' or 'self-seeding' thing has really slipped by me...I was always certain that plants were reproducing via seed dispersal before anthropological intervention. ;)
