Collected privet (various)

Post by Jasonb »

Got a little busy today, my sister has a privet problem and I have done my best to help her out, but I ran out of pots. And soil, and recycling bins....

Image

I had to take this photo on the run after potting them up and will put some better photos up tomorrow.
As a reference of size though, the black container with the multi trunk in it is in a council issue recycling bin, and with the soil, it ways over 80kg!!!!

That was not fun to move by myself.

Very nice, Jason. Should keep you in projects for a good while as long as they all make it. Good luck!

At the dollar shops you can get plastic colanders for $1.00 and they make great pots. OK, they do come in a few sizes and the really large ones cost about $2.50, but they do make great pots.

For the ones to now come out watto, I'm going to need some big containers, similar to the terracotta coloured one in the photo. I may have to raid the local nursery.

Jason all flower power stores have a pot recycling bin-not sure if there are any around you but worth keeping your eye out. Or else check out the freebie section on gumtree.

Gumtree might be the go as I don't have a flower power near me.

Will do watto, I've already got three that are mine. The rest may just be experiments. To see how far a privet can actually be pushed.
