stratifing zelkova
Hi all just wondering with some advice on stratifing zelkova,is it best to seal in a bag and put in fridge, or put in seed raising mix and refridgerate? And for how long ?

Either will work Dave as long as the seeds are moist. It is usual to mix seed with damp sand, peat, sawdust, etc when you put them in a bag to stratify. You obviously do not have a Fridge Nazi at your place. A seed tray with seed raising mix would not last very long in the fridge here!
Times of 6-8 weeks are usually recommended for stratification. I was going to say until the end of winter but note where you come from so that will not mean anything to you.
