Recently one of my pyracantha's started to show black spots on the new growth. Foliage was very full so I thinned it removing all signs of these spots. I also removed many of the very old leaves which were damaged by whitefly last summer. The growth has come back nicely and all looked healthy until these spots started to re-appear. Any advice?
I suspect things are too damp and think I should bring out the copper spray today.

Re: Black Spot?
Had the same problem with mine Gerard, and yes, did exactly what you are considering. Moved them into full sun and sprayed them and all gone now. It will be difficult to find some sun at the moment here in Victoria. Maybe let them dry out before you spray
