English elm clump

Post by Gerard »

At the BSV sale I picked up some English elms, they were small but fairly old and I am pleased with how my plan came together.
I have pushed the trunks close together and interwoven the roots, now I wait for new shoots before I wire the shape of the trees.

Then I came to a realization :o

It was not a conscious thing but I may be in breach of "bonsai copyright". I hope that in 20 or 30 years I could achieve something like this

I like this a lot Gerard and it will be stunning with the "new look" idea. I would be putting that into action this Winter.
