Show us your semi cascades
I'm working on a semi-cascade at the moment. I've never styled one before and am finding myself not as confident as i am with more common styles. Anyone else styled semi-cascades before? How did you go about it?
Post your photos up here and tell us your semi-cascade stories.
Adam

Re: Show us your semi cascades
This Chinese elm exposed root tree should qualify as semicascade.
I have some more semis in development - black pines, a trident and a couple of palmatums. As you are finding out, not all turn out to be pleasing. looks easy but the reality is somewhat different. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

That looks great Webos. It still has a long way to go, but the structure looks very appealing. Are you able to take some better photos from the proper viewing height if possible?

There are many ways to do things, but only one "best" way.

Re: Show us your semi cascades
Hi Adam,
Love the tree. You look like you have a good grasp of the style. I hope you keep us posted as it develops.
Here is mine. Over the years is been a full cascade with a top but as you can see it has simplified over the years (top and bottom removed).
Regards,
Peter

Re: Show us your semi cascades
I don't have any cascades but immediately thought of this tree, I believe it is a bonsai Mirai tree.
Good to see that you have put those jin techniques to good use!
