Re: olive tree
Definite improvement. Once it starts seriously shooting you will have great fun selecting the branching and develolping this tree. Great character.

Re: olive tree
MQ has said it all really. I would just add that you might like to consider potting it up into something larger for the next year or 2 while you develop the branches.

Re: olive tree
i went out today and gathered up some loverly olives with miniture leaves. I have 6 blue barrles to cut down into training pots so all up i can make 12 decent size pots to train the olives i have. I dont think i have any tubs fome boxes left to add anything to :.) so i will have a busy week. one stump i have needed the good old chainsaw, i was amazed at learning how well an olive tree takes to having a chain saw attack. im sure a few ppl have seen this site but i need to share it with those that dont know it , i was in total aw and loved the reading http://www.dugzbonsai.com/olivehead1.htm
Thanks for the advice Steve & MelaQuin
now it's time to take some pics :.)
