A great idea Pup and a must for any Bonsai Site.Pup suggested
While I am here may be we could have a book club here. Books people have read and recommend.
I will start by recommending The Koreshoff's book on Natives. Also Deborah Koreshoff's book The art science and philosophy of Bonsai .
Both are very good reads.
I am an avid reader of anything Bonsai related and have quite a large Library myself. I particularly agree with Deborahs book which I use as my bible in relation to anything bonsai - I especially like her line drawings which have given me huge inspiration over the years, to the extent that I have photocopied all of them and enlarged them to A4 and created my own inspiration book.
I have almost all the copies of Bonsai Today and have enjoyed them immensley and indeed have learnt much from them as well. ( I hope that this comment does not drag up the eternal bickering between Bonsai Today and Bonsai Focus - They are both good magazines and it is my belief that Bonsai Today was the pioneer. )
Other books in my library are:-
Bonsai by Harry Tomlinson
Bonsai by Peter Chan
The Gardens of Japan by Teiji Itoh
The world of Bonsai by Paul Lesniewicz
Classic Bonsai of Japan by Nippon Bonsai Association
The Bonsai Art of Kimura by Katsuhito Onishi
The Collingridge Handbook of Bonsai by Anne Swinton (quite informative)
The Bonsai School by Craig Coussins
The Art of Bonsai by Peter Adams
And still there is so much to learn.
