[ID] Shrubbery!

Post by Johanson »

Hi there guys, hope the weather is treating you well in your respective necks of the woods,

I was wondering if anyone could ID these shrubs? And does anyone know about their suitability for bonsai?

I dug them up from the side fence at my granmas house as the neighbours will be knocking down the fence soon for a reno. She said she planted them maybe 20 years ago but they never got enough light and kept dying back, only to return with new growth every so often. Any ideas on what to do with em? I have wired one to see how it takes it but pretty undecided with the other two.

I'm with you on that one Damien. That definitely looks like Cuphea to me. Very cool looking Cuphea though ;)
