The new Native club had a nice social day digging (with permission) on this private property.

So did they actually dig or just sit around talking all day?

Seriously, any pics of what was collected?

Cheers

The location was beautiful, good enough to enjoy without digging.
I am sure some photos will follow, almost everyone collected what we believe to be kunzea ericoides, there was also black wattle, callistemon and numerous flowering natives and native orchids.

A great day out! Thanks to Val and the club organisers for arranging today. I was repotting until almost 8pm tonight. Thirteen pots full of Burgan, and one black wattle. :)
Bonsai was meant to keep me away from the computer.

looks like good snake country, did any one find any ? also looks like the members had a productive and tiring day. well done to the organisers and an obvious thankyou to the owner of the property. it will be interesting to see some of the trees dug and knowing what the survival rate will be. miyagiman.

Thanks Val for allowing us to come to your beautiful property and add to the wombat holes!
I've just stop potting up what I collected (7 at present) but still have a forest to put together tomorrow. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day with great company. :tu:

Will post photos once down loaded from phone.

PS one black snake only.

Love the 2nd one, from the pit. Already great natural movement in the trunk. Will be great to see it once it's been worked a little.

Cheers

I like that one too. Ive keep alot of extra branches/limbs so have choices once they have declared their survival.

Just got to keep the :fc: to hope they survive, as some of them bare rootted themselves upon removed from the ground or when potted up. Alot of TLC at the moment & protecting them from these extreme winds that Melbourne is getting.
