Hi all,
Picked up this nice Hibbertia from a small nursery cheap and was after advice.
Sorry, didnt get any before pictures but I decided to utilise every branch. Upon seeing this tree I thought 'natural' style, but after a bit of wire it turned into a windswept. I would prefer some branches to have a bit more movement but it seems the younger branches are more brittle and the older branches are quite pliable.
Am after a bit of critique and some advice regarding pruning and re-potting. Would love to get this out of the terrible water re-pellant nursery mix but at this stage im thinking it best to wait until after flowering??
As far as the windswept style goes, I prefer the sparse look to the canopy, and find it quite attractive, though I want the tree to be healthy.
Any advice on Hibbertia will be greatly appreciated

Re: Hibbertia Scandens
Looks like a combination of windswept and cascade. I like it

Acer buergerianum, Acer palmatum, Bougainvillea (something), Ficus microcarpa, Lagerstroemia indica 'Fauriei', Melaleuca styphelioides, Olea Europa, Prunus (something) 'Dwarf Apricot', Quercus robur, Ulmus parvifolia, Zelkova serrata

Re: Hibbertia Scandens
Thanks, naimul. I thought it would become some sort of windwsept when I first saw it, I know nothing of the species but couldn't help myself
Now I understand they are a climber/vine, and have read conflicting reports on flowering time. I know they grow naturally with the Casuarina and Banksia at my local beaches, more of an understory creeper. The flowers are shortlived, maybe 2 days once theyve opened.
Anyone working with these?
