Germinating maple tree seeds

Post by Red-maple »

Finally I was able to Japanese red maple tree seeds off the internet as was just wondering what might be the best way to germinate them, I've heard of people soaking them in water for a few hours (for older seeds) and others placing them in plastic zip lock bags and leaving them in the fridge for 6-12 weeks and others leaving them for a minimum of 3 months.

What have you guys done here, I've had positive feed back from everyone on this forum before so I figured that id hopefully get a slightly better idea as to what might work better.
