I need to remove a large branch and was wondering if it is not too late to airlayer a wisteria

Never too late for them
So them anytime, just give lots of water after separating

Between early spring and late December is the best time to do air layers on wisteria and that is when I do mine. Don't separate until next August and only then if you can see lots of roots.

many thanks blokes---although I would have liked to have a separate plant before the end of summer---but then " my incompetence is surpassed only by my impatience" :)
