A few trees in the works

Post by jezz_39 »

Thought I'd share a few trees in training, I'll never get the great leaf colour but some deiduous trees grow well in my climate.

Just picked up the Pear today, great deadwood just needs a little more feature in some areas. I call the English Elm the 'Banyan', it and the Quince are both in Erin pots for now. The Elm is currently building a new apex and working on ramification in general. Will get a hard wiring in winter.
The Crepe Myrtle was from a previous post HERE. It has been tilted to a more semi cascade line. Im leaving 2 sacrifice branches for now and pulling off flower buds to keep the leaves pushing through. Ramification should be pretty good by winter, trimming this thing weekly :tu:

Nice work Jezz. That elm is very different, I thought it was a fig for a second! Interested to see where you take them.
