At the end of last term at school, Steven was pruning and repotting his big callistimon (I cannot find the post now?) and took of a bent and twisted cutting.
He suggested I pot it up and "as I need more trees"

I chucked it into a pot of Diatomite / zeolite, and left it on a tray in the shade where I propagate any larger stock I have.
It was well and truly Dried out and looking sad, so thought it had not taken, but while watering this morning noticed a new shoot on it

As pup has described before they are easy to take largish cuttings of by sitting in water and waiting.
