Just another Mel

Post by Pup »

I have finally been able to do some re potting and while I do that I take pictures so I know when it was done for future reference.
This is one of my Melaleuca rhaphiophylla, collected around 2004/5 it has been grown as a natural tree some wiring and pruning for shape. the accent is a native Borya spp
It is in a Lorraine Simpson of Mornington peninsular Bonsai club.
Dimensions height 43 cm width 40 cm trunk 11 cm

There are so many trees around here that look like that. You have truly captured the style and persona of the trees true likeness. The pot so compliments the tree and the natural setting of the tree. I think this is one of my favourites. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Really Nice Pup,
I had to go back, to notice the pot, stand and accent and how it ties in just right...
Nice little ressurection accent, and moss even after a killer summer!
Cheers ....Dog. :tu2:

I enjoy your Mels Pup, and you have infected me badly with them.
I ask lots of questions that sound like suggestions. Please remember I am a inquisitive newbie trying to figure out why You made a particular decision, in order to learn.

A very fine tree, and particularly well potted - it's a fine match. I like the way the canopy is a bit open. And the texture of the trunk is massive. Happy to look after it if you get busy…

Thanks for posting,

Gavin
