Bonborn - Ficus hopeless progression from 2014

Post by bonborn »

Remember this one? This was purchased along with my Ficus senior. I am calling is hopeless as it is way away from everything i have imagined. Not much to see but hopefully i can keep it going.

No laughing at my inspiration pic. It's one of those stolen bonsais from Perth i think which was posted in an earlier thread.

Hi Bonborn,

That is a fairly drastic cut back on this tree, has this only recently been done ?

Cheers

Just less than 2 weeks back. Already lots of buds popping up. I did go a bit harsh on it. It was either going to make it or not. It did and so did all the other cuttings which i just stuck in the ground.

Hi Bonborn,

Thanks for the reply, hopefully there will be enough warm temps and humidity left in the season to let it power energy into the new shoots so they can get through winter unscathed. Keep an eye out for cool nights and frosts as new foliage can get hit hard because of it.

Cheers

Appreciate the advice. It will be moved into the greenhouse during winter months.
