New Bonsai Identity

Hi, can anyone please help me identify this Bonsai in the attached picture.
I looks a bit like an Azalea, but the leaves are larger.

With all the leaves shooting from one spot I would be almost certain it's a pyracantha.

Has it got any thorns yet.
