[ID] Ash?

Post by Ivor »

Hi all.

This one sprouted in my backyard a couple years ago. There are a lot of ashes around my neighbourhood, so I assumed it was an ash, but the leaves don't match the trees I've seen around - or any ashes I've seen.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Beat me by 3 minutes Guy. I agree. Looks like white cedar - Melia azedarach. Birds eat the fruit and seed and they seed quite freely.
