As some may remember I thought this tree was a cotoneaster, but it is not it is a large Photinia. I saw one with the same twin trunk and other trunks twisting around each from the base of the main trunk/s. Here are some more pics.

What do you think, I must admit I never really noticed it until a few months ago, after taking pics of a small offspring embedded in the stone BBQ underneath it in 2010. I took the sapling out by removing bricks and stones from the chimney and it only had a few feeder roots and a broken tap root. Anyway it is now a cascade, and with pinkish new shoots. I'll have re-pot it soon, it is still in the plant pot I originally put it in in 2010.
