Port Jackson
Can I/ should I defoliate this PJ growing madly on the side of the road? I dont want to take it off the rock yet so happy to fiddle with it a bit whilst in situ. This is located in the Sydney coastal area.

G'day mate, with unique trees like this , we should be allowing them to grow where they are. A PJ of this size easy to find at nurseries or grow by cuttings. Preserve Trees like this.

Agree entirely Billy. But in this case this tree and other greenery get trimmed annually by council and it is only a matter of time before they take it out completely as they have done with other trees and shrubs in this road cutting.

Re: Port Jackson
Did you have a look under the foliage to see whether you can get it out?
Chances are you wont get it out intact. But if its gonna get sprayed or scrapped by council, might as well try an chisel the wall away from the fig.
