Green Marble Tray Shanshui

Post by hard1all »

I had never before and still have never seen a green marble tray like this one. It's 100cm long.

I was lucky enough to acquire it recently along with the Serpentine rocks that match it beautifully.

Rather than 'glue' the rocks onto the tray we used Selleys Plasti-Bond to make a flat base on each rock. We added yellow, brown and black oxide to the mix to get a good colour match with the rock before adding the hardener.

Now, if we tire of how this looks - we can change it!

Hi hard1all,
I like the idea of the rocks being in one area. To me it gives the idea of a remote desolate Island. I think the water in the tray enhances the overall effect very vividly.

Well, that is really nice, really really nice. As Ray said, an island but i see it as an island jutting out of the ocean.
