I cannot tell from the picture but its probably pine mite. Its easily removed with a cotton bud and mentholated spirit.

Ok thanks ill give it a try. Rest of the candles are fine just the 2 on the top Have gone brown :lost:

pine mites have a white membrane covering them. Your brown needles may be from lack of water.
