Cascade Juniper Procumbens - Styling advice please

Post by TLe »

Hi all,

I am a new member here. Also, I am a newbie to the Art of Bonsai and recently, have just styled a pair of Juniper Procumbens as cascading style. Please give me some advices for further improvement of my two trees. Any critique and comment will be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards,
Tho

I like them! Are they are pair? Like a mirror image of one another? It is very typical of Asians, especially Vietnamese, to value bonsai and other decorative items as pairs. I do too. But it is hard to keep both bonsais growing symmetrically over time. When the foliage fills in, they will look fine! I wouldn't change a thing. Your wiring is good too. The pots are nice. These would look good with a pair of ceramic elephants as pedestals.
Good luck with them!

Thanks for your comment Si, they are not really a pair but I am trying to have them growing symmetrically as much as possible. I have posted them on another forum and a local master in Sydney he has offered for some guidance of my styling if I bring them to his nursery. I do strongly recommend you to visit Bonsai South Website; http://bonsaisouth.com.au/cms3/index.ph ... &Itemid=30 . The forum there is great and very friendly, I am sure you will love it.
