A Couple Of new Tree's

Hello again everyone, I just thought I would share some pics of a of a couple of new tree's I picked up today.

First is this swampie, I'm really looking forward to working with this.



Here's the lower, I probably didn't pick the best view for the pic ... but anyway





I love to the see the larger tree's, "the Californian Redwood comes to mind" as Bonsai, although they are in miniature I love the epoch grandeur that can be depicted on a small scale.
I also pick up this sweet little jacaranda.



Both will get an immediate (up-size re-pot) while I consider the potential options, any suggestions are much appreciated so tell me what you see

On lighter note I would like to give a special shout out to Tien Liao @ Bonsai Sensation Nursery ( my bonsai sifu ) ... many thanks Tien, my cup is empty ... but it fills quickly.

I wodl remove one of them and shorten the other to develop taper in the upper trunk.

The Jac is only young and with mine, I trunk chopped about 3 times to get to here.

Thanks for the input so far Ken, If you look at the second pic of the Swapie you can see that the first trunk chop/splits into two, then on the right the branch divides again ... that inner branch will go first, the tree is probably about 3 ft at the moment but we will soon fix that

Is it possible to see shots of the swamp cypress from all sides. The current view it looks like the trunk has a slight bend in it, the main root coming straight towards you is distracting, wonder if there isn't a better choice of front along with selection of main trunk.

Nice young Swampy...I too have recently purchased another young swampy from Tien with the intention of a forest planting with some much larger ones previously purchased - both from Tien and others. It looks like we bought from the same batch as it looks almost identical. My plan for the one like yours was to leave it as a multi branched formal upright as it lends itself this this style rather than the tall upright standard swampy approach, particularly as it will sit in the background of my forest and should give the impression of more tree's in the forest than what is actually there... Either way, Swampies are awesome but I'm a bit concerned regarding the huge amount of work that will be required for a multi tree'd forest planting- ie; styling/wiring.... Any advice from others regarding swampy forests would be appreciated...
The little Jac. is also nice...I too have one from BS... but yours has the Tien touch..! I need to give mine some flow. I hear they can take up to 10years to flower though...

A forest planting sounds great, make sure you post up some pictures once you get it happening. I love going to Tien's nursery, I'm like a kid in a candy store and its only 5 minutes from my place which is convenient ... maybe a little to convenient

As for the little Jac, I reckon its great, I did want to re-pot them today but it just didn't happen

Thanks Rustdust for posting the additional pics, looks like you have good root options all the way around. Little difficult to see in detail, but whichever trunk you choose sure you can't go wrong.
