Private seller

I stopped off to see this guy yesterday and all I can say is wow.
For anyone that is into pines or ficus...stop and see this guy.
Prices seemed reasonable. I've not worked on pines so didn't buy any but was seriously tempted. I'm certain that majority would just need a tweak or two to be amazing plants.

I also went out and had a look. This guy would put some commercial nurseries to shame.

Yep agree, one of my regular stops an incredible amount of pines and figs in a backyard! Not super cheap but cheaper than retail. Lou was at the ausbonsai sale yesterday, just looking not selling. I bought a couple of old figs from him that he purchased about 7-8 years ago from a collection on the Northshore (Sydney) and they are old at least 30 years. Lou is a nice bloke and knowledgeable, he and his wife are usually out the back working on the pines.

Yeah I met Lou and his wife. When I went there he was loading up the ute to head to the sale-not sure if he made it.
If I knew what I was looking for with pines I would've bought one.i will go back with someone who knows pines for advice

Thanks for this. Heading that way in early April, will have to arrange a time with him, with a collection that size I am guessing he will still have a few to sell!
