One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Plantmark
Hi woodwizzard
It's great that you are offering any one off the street a trade discount card. It's what I love to see when I head out to my local plant mark at Kellyville. I am a landscaper and the plants are one of the few things left I am able to purchase at trade rates ( wholesale) and re sell as a retailer to my customers. Sounds like you are going to take care of that for me. Brilliant.

Re: Plantmark
I've been using it for a few years after a landscaper got me onto it (I'm a carpenter by trade). It was good then so I should pop in now and have a look around.WoodWizard wrote:That's great to here ! Re: Plantmark
Was that tongue in cheek sqizzy, if so it went over their heads, yes I am a builder and it is getting harder to make a dollar as sometimes people say they can get it cheaper than I can, so there's no trade discount these days, so how do you put your margin on, yes we have plantmart up here and even I had trouble getting an account, looks like anyone can now

Sometimes I sits and thinks and sometimes I just sits.

Re: Plantmark
Yeah Paul.
Sarcasm is my specialty.
Disappointed with managers of wholesale nurseries that do this.
I make a point of not trying to take margins from my subcontractors either. For my mind it means we all get more from our work. Not sure why a manager would risk annoying people who buy $1000s of dollars a month of stock to please a few people who will by $50 worth of plants at a time ?

Re: Plantmark
Not sure why you would hve trouble getting an account, if your business is legit an you have an ABN you apply online and it will get approved ? As long as ur not an electrician and your business is plant based their would be no trouble at all, and squizzys comment didn't go over my head , there's a reason I answered to other people's comments and not hisPaul W wrote:Was that tongue in cheek sqizzy, if so it went over their heads, yes I am a builder and it is getting harder to make a dollar as sometimes people say they can get it cheaper than I can, so there's no trade discount these days, so how do you put your margin on, yes we have plantmart up here and even I had trouble getting an account, looks like anyone can now
