Old Japanese Pots
I was lucky enough to be invited to see if I was interested in buying some pots from a friends mother. She was quite elderly (close to 90) when I asked if it was her husband who was the enthusiast she replied, "Oh no, it was my father who dabbled in bonsai when he lived in Sydney 50 to 60 years ago.
Here are some of the pots

Re: Old Japanese Pots
I have a black pine in mind for one of the deeper pots, (Izumi-Ya or unidentified 1) but I will wait until after workhops with Mauro. It might be a year or so.

Re: Old Japanese Pots
Hi Gerard,
The two pots I have are the same as the first one you show. The dragon pot. I believe mine were bought to Australia in the late seventies or early eighties. The second pot you show is in John Naka's second book, page 309.
